GREAT! Really GREAT! I'll recommend that piece indeed.
And here some more infos if you are really interested:
Few days ago I received my GeoPic II. Everything went very smooth within the ordering process. I was constantly informed about the status.
Since I made several other unsatisfying attempts to bring geo-infos into my D300 I was very curious about the thing.
And it is really GREAT! Good mechanical quality (robust, good plug with screw lock, as original Nikon stuff!) fast in acquiring satellites (I have 5 other GPS to compare to) and insane precise (up to 2 meters precise) easy to operate and with a surprisingly good user manual (das auf der Web-Seite sogar in sehr gutem Deutsch zum runterladen bereit steht :-) )
The operation is very smooth and very convenient. The transfer of GPS-date does not slow down the picture taking and is indicated with a small beep - which gives you instantanious feedback that everything is going well (the status display on the camera (D300) indicates the coordinates, altitude and UTC time right after the shot).
And if you are really a fan of playing around with stuff, there are 8 parameters to adjust yourself (like stopping the beep - if you are taking pictures in quiet locations for example). And this with just on button!
Really a great piece of engineering work with an outstanding customer experience! Thanks a lot!
